Bio:   Nathan Ferguson

Nathan Ferguson is from York Pennsylvania and is 16 years of age.  He’s always active in sports, geography, pipe and drum band, and trains.

His passionate hobby is trains. He has been a photographer of trains since the early age of 10. On his many travels both internationally and coast to coast in the U.S., he garnered many excellent photos of trains.

Some of his most spectacular photos come from being out west in the big sky country of Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming. His most popular photo is a night photo of the Union Pacific #4014, “Big Boy”, the world’s largest steam locomotive, that made a stop in Rawlings, Wyoming for the Union Pacific’s celebration of the 150th anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad. That photo was featured on Visit Ogden’s Instagram page. Other photos include the U.P. 949 E8 streamliner during a Nebraska Statehood 150th celebration. This photo was captured off US highway 85 in Hawk Springs, Wyoming.

Since he lives in York, Pennsylvania, he captures many unique trains traveling through popular places like Reading, Strasburg, Enola, and Altoona. He can capture a wide variety of trains in the local area, including major railroads like Norfolk Southern and CSX and local railways like York Railway.
